My Twin Baby Shower: Two Little Cuties
I have to throw my mom and SIL’s a huge TY for hosting the baby shower of my dreams! In case you missed it, I’m pregnant with identical twin girls and I knew right away that I would want to have the baby shower theme be “Two Little Cuties On the Way!” I had a lemon citrus themed bridal shower and the orange citrus theme just felt right for my twin baby girls. Before we dive in, HERE is the baby shower dress I went with, it’s not maternity but it worked PERFECTLY with the theme. Let’s dive into the details!
The Two Little Cuties Decor:
With a past in event planning, the little details were huge for me at the baby shower. There are a few things that I loved and feel made a huge difference, here’s what we did…
- Florals: We used mason jars for the arrangements and got orange roses from Costco along with baby’s breath from Trader Joe’s. We also accented the tables with cutie oranges that still had the stems on them as well.
- Twin Onesie Clothesline: This added such a fun pop and would be cute for any baby shower really! I specifically made sure that we got two of every onesie to stay on brand for the twins. You’ll need twine and little clothespins for the line, and then I have all of the onesies linked in this amazon store, along with everything you’ll need!
- Utensils & Napkin Rolls: We rolled gold disposable silverware in rented white linen napkins, then tied twine around the napkins and threaded it through a dried orange slice with a small branch of eucalyptus that we got from Trader Joe’s.
- Signage: My mom got a bunch of templates on Etsy that we were able to print out. This welcome sign was a huge hit, my mom printed it through FedEx and we got this gold easel from amazon to display it on. This suite has about 100 templates and it’s where we made the menus that were placed on each setting, and printed them at FedEx. We also used this suite too and were able to edit some of the templates!
- Large Two Little Cuties Sign for the Mom-Mosa Bar: We got this sign from Etsy to place with the MOMosa bar sign and it looked super cute!
- Custom Napkins: These were so fun to serve with the cake and added a cute little personal touch!
- Cake Topper: My friend made our cake for us which was so sweet and we topped it with this topper from Etsy.
- Balloons: My mom ordered this set of orange balloons from Etsy and we just got a helium tank to fill them up on our own at home.
The Games:
- Guess the Due Date: We put this out for everyone to guess the twins arrival date & will send out a gift to the winner!
- Mommy or Daddy Game: I made my own template on Canva for this game that you can use here. I also used this template to make my own ‘Twin Trivia’ Game too – feel free to do the same!
- Don’t Say Twin: We used this template to make a sign and gave everyone 2 pink clothespins in the beginning of the shower. You couldn’t say the word twin & if you did, someone could steal your pin. The winner was the person with the most pins at the end of the shower!
- How Big is Her Belly: Everyone was given ribbon to cut of how big they thought my belly was – pretty fun game and funny as well!
- Diaper Raffle: This was by far my favorite game because it stocked us up on diapers! Everyone was asked to bring a pack of diapers to enter their name into a raffle to win a prize.
- Pacifier Hunt: We hid these cute little pacifiers throughout the house for everyone to find. Whoever found the most of them won a prize!
the Favors & Prizes:
- Mini Champagne Bottles: Each guest left with a mini champagne bottle (we got these at BevMo) and labeled them with these custom labels from Etsy.
- Fresh Roses: We sent everyone home with two fresh orange roses in a mini vase, and tied these thank you tags onto them with twine. They served as decor & cute gifts too!
- Game Prizes:
- Kosterina Skincare: I had an assortment of skincare sets from Kosterina to gift the winners of the games, If you’re not familiar, Kosterina is an Extra Virgin Olive Oil Based company and I swear by their skincare line. Apparently the Greek Women have been using this as their secret weapon for centuries and now we’re getting to use it too! You can use code ALYSIA15 for 15% off!
- Coola Goodies: I’m obsessed with all things Coola and thought it would be fun to spread the sun-care love with my besties. There were a few different assortments of my favorite Coola products such as the Mineral Sunscreen, Dew Good, Water Mist and Scalp Care!
The Food & Beverage:
- MOM-mosa Bar: For this bar, we set up a whole spread, starting with two different types of bubbly. The first was FRE Alcohol Removed Champagne (my favorite brand by far and tastes just like Prosecco) paired with Mind & Body Wines Bubbly Brut, Bubbly Rose & Sauvignon Blanc as well as a still Rose. Mind & Body is amazing because they’re lower calorie and lower ABV as well. Next up were Suja juices, we had an array of different juices to top off the bubbly with, as well as enjoy solo. Suja is cold-pressed and organic and my favorite bottled juice brand! For more wedding content, be sure to check out my Bachelorette Fashion Haul, as well as our Save The Dates & Engagement Story! - The Butcher’s Daughter Brunch: This is a spot local to LA, also in NYC, but they had amazing brunch options/packages that we catered in to the house and it was perfect!
